I wish the U.S. policy makers (as well as those in Australia and the UK) would put more incentives in for entrepreneurs and small businesses. There just isn’t a lot of attention being paid to the huge and dynamic potential of entrepreneurial innovation in getting us quicker to recovery.
A lot of pundits point to the era we are in now as being analogous to the 1970’s. There’s different ways to look at that analogy. As an optimist, I see that as a positive, because the 70’s stagnation led to huge innovation in technology and finance in the 1980’s and beyond.
There’s huge potential out there right now and a lot of very smart and ambitious people pursuing their dreams. It would be great if they had extra incentives to do more.
