Have you ever thought about setting your business up as a referral-based business? This is a good option for you as an auto repair shop owner. To employ this strategy effectively, you will need to understand who your ideal customer is and what type of referrals you are looking for. You also need to know what your acquisition cost is at the moment.

Don’t be afraid to ask for referrals. Send your existing customers thank-you cards and turn them into advocates so they tell their friends, colleagues, etc. to come to your shop.

Lastly, give them a reason to refer you, for instance, by referring people to your business, they can benefit from better prices and improved service. Offer customers a gift, free service or other such offers for referring customers. Also offer those referred through such a referral program a service for free when they purchase something –for example, two oil changes for the price of one.
