It will be very difficult for you to succeed in business until you change your mindset and accept that profit is necessary not only for your business to succeed – but for our economy to grow and all of us to benefit from great innovations, products and services.
Another way to look at this is, how much more could you contribute to the things that are important to you if you had a wildly profitable and successful business? How many kids could you feed or books could you buy or clothes could you donate to your favorite charity?
As one of my favorite mentors Jim Rohn once said, some religions say it’s hard for a rich man to get into heaven – but they don’t say it’s impossible.
You might have to work harder on your thinking than some others who weren’t brought up in your environment, but it can be done. Focus on the things you want and see the benefits of why profit would be important to you and your goals – and you’ll find it easier to succeed in your company.
